From the Airport to city centre or HKU

The Faculty of Law of HKU is located at Cheng Yu Tung Tower, Centennial Campus, The University of Hong Kong.

When you arrive at the Hong Kong International Airport, you may take the express train – the “Airport Express” – to get to “Hong Kong” station. This station is located at Central district on the Hong Kong Island of the local train system (called the MTR). You may then take the train on the Hong Kong Island Line (towards Kennedy Town) to go to HKU Station, or take a taxi to your hotel or the University.  A taxi journey from the Hong Kong Station to the Faculty of Law takes approximately 15 minutes (about 4 km) and costs around HKD 60.  See here for more details.

The conference venues are a 10-minute walk from Exit C1 of HKU station.

You may also take a taxi directly from the airport to the city centre or the University. A taxi journey from the Hong Kong International Airport to the Faculty of Law takes approximately 40 to 60 minutes (about 40 km) and costs around HKD 300-400.

Taxis in Hong Kong accept cash, and do not take credit or debit cards.

Directions from Exit C1 of HKU Station to the Grand Hall

  1. Plenary sessions will take place at the Grand Hall, Lee Shau Kee Lecture Centre, Centennial Campus, The University of Hong Kong.
  2. After taking a lift from the HKU Station concourse to the ground floor, follow the arrows for Centennial Campus. It will direct you to an escalator for the footbridge above your head.
  3. Cross the bridge and take the two escalators (instead of the lifts) to the LG floor of the Centennial Campus and you will arrive the Grand Hall.

    1. Go to HKU MTR Station Exit C1

    2. Take lift to G/F and turn right

    3. Take Escalator to LG1 of HKU Centennial Campus

    4. Walk across the footbridge

    5. Take First Escalator to LG of HKU Centennial Campus

    6. Take Second Escalator to HKU Centennial Campus

    7. Grand Hall
